His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at ADQ.
His Excellency also holds the positions of Chairman of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), Pure Health and ADC Acquisition Corporation (ADC). He is also the Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) and Second Vice Chairman of Aldar Properties.
His Excellency is a member of the Board of Directors at ADNOC Distribution, ADNOC Gas, Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), Al Dahra Holding, Lulu Group International and MiZa.
Prior to joining ADQ, His Excellency garnered extensive experience across multiple sectors in his tenure with Mubadala Investment Company, where he held several investment management positions covering sectors such as metals and mining, real estate, hospitality, infrastructure, technology, and agriculture.
His Excellency also gained experience in retail banking and finance during his tenures with Union National Bank, Abu Dhabi Ship Building and the General Secretariat of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
His Excellency holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from United Arab Emirates University.

His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at ADQ.

Anas Jawdat Albarguthi
Anas Jawdat AlBarguthi is Chief Operating Officer at ADQ. He oversees ADQ’s human capital, information and cybersecurity, business technology services, corporate services, procurement and experience and engagement.
He is also the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Media Company, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), Q Market Makers (QMM), Vice Chairman of ADNEC Group and a member of Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding Company.
He has more than 20 years of experience in leadership positions in government, semi-government and private sectors in the UAE and UK. Throughout his career, Anas has worked in corporate governance, legal and management advisory, portfolio management, organizational transformation, and process innovation.
Anas previously held various senior positions including Assistant Secretary General and Executive Director at Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council. He was also the Executive Director at Emirates Meteorology Institute (EMI) and the role of a Senior Investment Manager at Mubadala Aerospace Division. Anas also served as a board member at ADASI.
Anas holds a master’s degree in International & Comparative Business Law (LLM) from London Guildhall University and bachelor’s degree in Law from Amman Private University.


Bashar Al-Rousan
Bashar Al-Rousan is Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at ADQ. His role covers ADQ and its portfolio companies. Bashar is also the Secretary to the ADQ Board and its Executive Committee.
Since joining ADQ, Bashar has focused on building a specialized in-house legal team, providing strategic, robust and pragmatic advice to safeguard ADQ’s interests and its portfolio companies, and ensuring the highest standards of compliance within the ADQ Group.
Prior to his current role, Bashar was the General Counsel of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office and led the Legal and Government Affairs Department. He was also a Director at the Legal & Risk Management Affairs Unit of the Executive Affairs Authority of Abu Dhabi. Before his government roles, Bashar worked as a corporate and commercial lawyer at Shell EP International, and the international law firms Allen & Overy LLP and Simmons & Simmons.
Bashar holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Jordan and is a qualified solicitor (England and Wales).


Dr. Jaap Kalkman
Jaap Kalkman is Group Chief Investment Officer at ADQ. He oversees the company’s portfolio, which includes investments and joint ventures, and restructuring efforts spanning key sectors including Energy & Utilities, Food & Agriculture, Healthcare & Life Sciences and Mobility & Logistics.
Jaap is a member of the Board of Directors at Etihad Aviation Group (EAG), Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) and Saya Corp.
Prior to his current role, Jaap was the Chief Transformation Officer at ADQ, managing the company’s new ventures, digital transformation and portfolio optimization. Jaap is an industry expert with 25 years of experience in Management Consulting and Private Equity. Previously, he served as Managing Partner and Global Head of Energy and Utilities at Arthur D Little, and as Senior Partner for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Prior to that, he worked for Arcapita as Director and Head of Infrastructure in Bahrain and Singapore, and for McKinsey & Company as Managing Partner in the Philippines and Bahrain.
Jaap holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Utrecht, where he also attained degrees in General Philosophy, Physics and Mathematics.

Louay Abou Chanab
Louay Abou Chanab
Louay Abou Chanab is Chief Strategy Officer at ADQ. He oversees ADQ’s corporate strategy and cluster strategies, planning and performance, asset allocation. He also manages multiple transformation and value creation initiatives across the ADQ portfolio including digital transformation, innovation and R&D, ESG, and portfolio talent management.
Louay is also the Chairman of Contango and Next 50. He is a member of the Board of Directors at Q Market Makers (QMM) and Acino.
As part of his role, Louay manages short and long-term target setting for ADQ and portfolio companies and oversees ADQ’s Strategic Talent Management function, which is responsible for future-proofing portfolio capabilities and ensuring seamless and sustainable human capital growth.
He has more than 25 years of management and consulting experience. Previously, Louay served as an Advisor in the Office of Strategic Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and as an Investment Director at the Emirates Investment Authority, in addition to serving as a Principal Consultant for the consulting firm Booz & Company.
Louay holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Lebanese American University and an MBA from Ecole Supérieure des Affaires, Lebanon & ESCP-EAP, France.


Marcos de Quadros
Marcos de Quadros
Marcos de Quadros is Chief Financial Officer at ADQ, where he leads the Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury and Tax functions.
He also manages the company’s liquidity and capital structure, monitors and reports the company’s financial performance and plays a key role in managing investor relationships for the company.
Previously, Marcos served as Group Chief Financial Officer for AW Rostamani Group and as Chief Financial Officer for Al Futtaim GE Finance in the UAE.
His earlier career included serving as Chief Financial Officer of GE Capital Bank in Brazil. He has extensive experience in managing start-ups, turnarounds, cost reduction initiatives, acquisitions and divestitures. Additionally, Marcos has experience in Operations, Investments and IT.
Marcos holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie University and another in Civil Engineering from Sao Paulo State University.


Murtaza Hussain
Murtaza Hussain
Murtaza Hussain is ADQ’s Chief Investment Officer for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Alternative Investments. He is also a board member of Aramex PJSC.
At ADQ, Murtaza oversees the M&A function to deliver in-organic growth and achieve the divestment and monetization objectives of ADQ and its portfolio companies. He is also responsible for leading ADQ’s Alternative Investments arm with the objective of investing across various sectors and asset classes to optimize returns.
Murtaza previously held various senior investment roles and has over 17 years of private equity, corporate finance and restructuring experience. He has held board positions in local and international organizations.
Murtaza holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, with a major in Finance and a concentration in Accounting, from McGill University, Montreal in Canada.


Susan Daniel
Susan Daniel is the Chief Risk Officer at ADQ. She oversees the company’s Risk Management and Resilience strategy.
Susan brings more than 30 years of experience in establishing risk management functions and frameworks in global companies to her role. Previously, Susan served as Director of Risk Management and Compliance at Oman Investment Authority (OIA).
Prior to working for OIA, Susan worked as Advisory partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers leading services across the region covering risk management, internal audit, governance, process engineering, technology and organisational resilience. During her time, she managed multimillion dollar projects for clients including government and major conglomerates.
Susan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the UK and holds a BTEC National Diploma.


Hamad Abdulla Al Hammadi

Hamad Abdulla Al Hammadi is Chief Executive Officer, Energy & Utilities and Sustainable Manufacturing at ADQ. He oversees the development and growth of all portfolio companies within the cluster while identifying and driving new investment opportunities.
He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Director at Emirates Steel Arkan (ESA) and Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC). He is also a Board member at Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and TA’ZIZ.
Prior to his role at ADQ, Hamad served as the Head of Greenfield Investments in the Utilities vertical at Mubadala Investment Company and created high-profile projects across three sectors including Utilities, Industry and Financial Services.


Gil Adotevi
Gil Adotevi
Gil Adotevi is Chief Executive Officer, Food & Agriculture at ADQ. He oversees the development and growth of all portfolio companies within the cluster while identifying and driving new investment opportunities.
Gil serves as Chairman of Unifrutti Group and a member of the Board of Directors at Agthia Group, Louis Dreyfus Company, Silal, and Al Dahra Holding.
Prior to joining ADQ, Gil was Senior Vice President at Mubadala Investment Company where he was responsible for the performance, growth and key acquisitions of the company’s investments in Food and Agribusiness, Metals & Mining, and Utilities units. Earlier in his career, Gil held various roles in investment banking and investment management at RBC Capital Markets and State Street in Canada.
Gil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and is a graduate of the London Business School’s MBA program.

Fahad Al Qassim is Chief Executive Officer, Healthcare & Life Sciences at ADQ. In his role, he oversees the development and growth of all portfolio companies within the cluster while identifying and driving new investment opportunities.
He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Q Life Sciences, Acino and Amoun and is a member of the Board of Directors at Pure Health, Aramex and Daman.
Fahad is an industry expert with more than 25 years of experience in the investment banking, government and commercial sectors.
Prior to joining ADQ, Fahad served as Chief Executive Officer of Emirates NBD Capital where he was responsible for investment banking activities across the region. He led banking activities including Debt and Equity Capital Markets, M&A Advisory, and Securities brokerage. In a prior role, Fahad was Managing Director and Head of Principal Investments at Waha Capital.
Fahad holds an MBA in Finance from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computing from Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK. Additionally, Fahad holds a Higher Diploma in Electronics Engineering from Higher Colleges of Technologies in the UAE. He is also a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Leadership Programme.
